Game Reviews! :)

I forgot to tell you, I'm sort-of a video-game fanatic, but it's not unhealthy. Lets start this blog off with a game review! :D

Tron: Evolution
Now remember, this is all my opinion.
Tron: Evolution is a needed and unneeded chapter in the Tron series. The story isn't very deep, but is good nonetheless. Some problems with it are, you need both the media to understand it. In the beginning, you start out as a program named Anon, or Anonymous, in the User Plaza. The first objective is to walk over to a door. In the next cut-scene, you walk over to Tron and Quara. The game thinks you all ready know all of the characters. After some talking you have to chase Quara down a weirdly made maze of platforming type corridors. At one point you see some regular programs just walking around, socialising. That made me think, if every program and user practiced digital, sci-fi parcour, why couldn't they fight evil people also? Which brings me to my next subject, the antagonist(s). IT'S NOT RIGHT TO PUT IN A RANDOM BAD-GUY FOR NO REASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The guy's name is Abraxus, and he has a cape and a hood. AND. HE'S. GREEN. THANK YOU DISNEY FOR RUINING MY FAVORITE COLOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The idea of him being a "virus" is eh. I like the concept of the regular programs getting infected with that virus, but the way Clu, the MAIN bad guy, turned Tron into one of his, should have been how the programs got infected or at least the infection could be wiped out at the end. BUT NO! They have to put in a meaningless bad guy in. Now for gameplay. The controls are pretty simple, but even though you move the camera and aim with A joy stick the camera is still wonky, and moves to fast and slippery. Sometimes you can't see yourself or your target, which causes confusion and frustration. The different disk powers are creative. Some powers are Heavy, the first power you get, Bomb, which is a disk that throws people into the air higher than other disks, Infection, this disk does continuous damage to enemies and if they die infected they'll blow up, (I actually don't know what the last disk was called) and finally, Static, this power makes enemies go in slow-mo. You knew I would talk about this. Vehicles. The lightcycle is very well made in the controls, looks, and awesomeness, but the thing it doesn't do well is manual transformation. You can never turn in to a lightcycle on your own, there is always a highway or road that you have to drive. Even there you should be able to turn it off and on just in that section. Lighttanks have a great feeling of "Lumbering, epic, gun-totting, turtle". I say turtle because IT IS SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW also, if you don't like to readjust your tanks all the time because they are horribly horrible, then the lighttank is not for you. Order now!!!!......or not......Is there another vehicle? No. No lightfliers. So. Story, gameplay, and, I'll just do one more, online play. All in all it is good, not the best, but good. Sometimes, you can't connect to one of thousands of games 1 a category. Also, it's hard to tell when a match will start, and there is a class mode like C.o.D (which sucks) that does worse than the original. The combat is fluid and fun like the campaign, but as an added and unappreciated bonus, you get four energy squares instead of three! These let you do special attacks like the ground slam. Also, you can't choose your color in any games, and when I choose Clu I can't play as him, I'm always a regular program. Well, that's all. I'll give this game a 4 out of 5. Thank you for reading this. I'll make it up to you by uploading a funny video in my next post. Thanks.
